DIY Easter Egg Topiaries for Your Easter Table

I love planning for holidays, because it always sparks my creative side. For Easter, I'm always inspired by bright flowers and the pretty pastel colors. After putting my hours of Pinterest surfing to good use, I decided to really focus on a beautiful tablescape this year.

The basis of my tablescape came from this Easter Egg Topiary Invitation from Fine Stationery. I was inspired by the colorful topiary illustration, and knew I could recreate the piece of decor myself. Luckily, I happened upon two artificial topiaries at my favorite home discount store.

To decorate the topiaries, I used just a few inexpensive elements such as plastic Easter eggs, colorful adhesive trim, wide ribbon and dried flowers. The beauty of these artificial topiaries is that they are like blank canvases; you can dress them up with whatever items you like – maybe even items you have in your own home! – to create a decorative centerpiece.

Supplies
  • Artificial topiary
  • Plastic eggs
  • Dried flowers
  • Small sticks (ones with spiked ends are best)
  • Adhesive-backed trim
  • Ribbon
Directions

Start by adhering the backed trim onto your plastic eggs to create pretty patterns. Once done, stickthe pointed ends of the sticks into the plastic eggs (one per egg). Then stick the eggs into the topiary, and arrange into a pattern.

Fill in the other sections of the topiaries with the fake flowers. Tie a ribbon around the pot in a bow to finish the look.
