Something Blue: 25 Ideas for Your Big Day

While most brides subscribe to the old-fashioned, "something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue" for their wedding day, not every bride-to-be knows what those will be!

As more and more brides get creative with their "something blue" on their big day, we gathered some of our favorite ideas of how to rock something blue on your wedding day.

1. Shoes:

Though this trend has been popular for a few years, we still think it looks great, especially in photos. Plus, it gave us the inspiration to try some of these other ways to bring blue with you down the aisle.

2. Notes on the bottom of your shoes:

Now, this blue might not be seen by everyone at your wedding, but it will give you a great memory and a way for your bridal party to send you their best wishes on your big day.

3. Garter:

This is the classic trend for something blue, but it's always a good one. Hiding your blue way under your dress and taking it off for another true wedding tradition seems just right! We like this one from Art Fire because it tells it like it is...

4. Garter bling:

Maybe the blue garter isn't for you. For a more subtle addition of cobalt to your wedding day attire, we love these garters from Etsy. They come in ivory, light ivory and white to make sure that they match perfectly with whatever dress you choose.

5. Necklace:

While a sapphire necklace would also be the perfect "something blue" we can't help but adore this stunning pearl necklace and its blue bead stopper. It's definitely unique, and a creative way to show off your bling.

6. Earrings:

Of course, deciding on jewelry for your big day is almost as important as picking out your dress. Lucky for us, with these sapphire earrings, you hit two birds with one stone — pun definitely intended!

7. Heart stitched into your dress:

Your something blue doesn’t have to be obvious. This little heart stitched into your dress could be the perfect way to show you’re love, without showing everyone you invited. Even if the little heart just isn’t quite your style, we’re thinking our creative minds could run wild with this idea, especially if you use fabric from a sentimental piece of clothing.

8. Bride underwear:

These royal undies could be a perfect treat for you and your new husband way past your vows.  Bridal Party on Etsy has so many different styles, one of them is sure to be perfect for your special day.

15. Hair clips:
