Colorful Kids Easter Egg Punch

Bright pastel dyed eggs, colorful topiaries and an assorment of seasonal spring flowers; Easter is certainly one of the most bright and cheery holidays. We love incorporating the vibrant hues in everything on our Easter table, including this Easter egg-inspired kids punch.

Like a dyed Easter egg, this kiddie cocktail is layered with bright colors. The orange juice and grenadine come together to create an impressive ombré effect that will leave your kids amazed. Plus, the colored layers stay put hours after the drink is poured! Make ahead in single-serve mason jars, and keep in the fridge until it's time to serve. (Just don't shake it up or mix it around too much).

For a lower-sugar option, try low-cal orange juice (such as Trop 50), diet soda (such as diet ginger ale and Diet 7-Up), or even club soda or flavored seltzer. Although we're calling this a punch, it really only works when the drinks are made individually. So make sure you are preparing them in the glasses you are going to serve – we used the personalized mason jar from 1-800 Flowers – and garnish with some maraschino cherries for a fun and festive drink!

  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 2 cups ginger ale
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda (we used 7-Up)
  • 8 tablespoons cherry grenadine
  • Maraschino cherries

If using ice, fill 4 glasses halfway with ice cubes. Pour 1/2 cup of orange juice into each glass. Then pour 1/2 cup of the ginger ale in each glass, followed by 1/2 cup of the lemon-lime soda.

Carefully add the grenadine to each glass, about 2 tablespoons per glass. Tip: If you have a pour spout, attach it to the top of the grenadine jar for more accurate and careful pouring directly into the glass.

Makes: 4 servings
